CARIMER sets up emergancy task force to deal with the Zika Virus threat

In response to the emerging Zika Virus threat faced in South America and Caribbean, CARIMER has setup a task force to deal with the pandemic. This collaboration is with major hospitals and health institutions in affected regions such as Brazil, Jamaica, Argentina, and Mexico.

 

The purpose of this task force will be to establish an advanced infrastructure to support research and treatment of the Zika Virus. This effort is being lead by the Ministry of Health and CARIMER's Chief Medical Officer Dr. Lorenzo Gordon.
